Once upon a time, 2020 was just a news program hosted by Barbra Walters. Now, it’s a year just around the corner. How the heck has this happened? We have no idea.
Super Bowl 2020 advertising
While 2020 is unlikely to bring us flying cars or humans on Mars, it will bring us another Super Bowl: Super Bowl LIV takes place on February 2, 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It’ll hopefully feature the Denver Broncos representing the AFC and a to-be-determined NFC team ready to be whupped! It’s the 54th Super Bowl, or the 50th in the modern era. It’ll also be the 11th time South Florida has hosted, causing Colorado – and other regions – to implore them to learn to share. Come on, that’s kindergarten stuff!
The halftime show is yet to be determined, with Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Rhiana, and Kelly Clark all getting support from their fans to take the big stage.
Billboards in Miami for Super Bowl 2020
The Super Bowl will be televised on Fox and 30-second ad spots will start at a base of 5.5 million to 5.6 million. Fox will also air longer breaks between quarters, an initiative started by the NFL because of the popularity of Super Bowl commercials. Sometimes, they’re the only reason for watching the game (ahem, Patriots versus Rams).

If 5 million isn’t in your budget, don’t worry: there are other ways to take advantage of the marketing opportunities the Super Bowl presents. The largest opportunity comes from crowds: people converge on Super Bowl activities like moths to a flame or Von Miller to the opposing quarterback. The Super Bowl that took place in Minnesota brought in over 1 million people and 370 million in revenue. There’s a reason that cities want to host. 370 million of them, in fact.
